In
March of 2002, I purchased Lake Fork Tackle Repair from Connie
Kilpatrick and moved the business to Wichita, Kansas. I changed the
name because it's a VERY long drive to Lake Fork from here -- almost 400
miles to be exact!
We've only
been open for 3 months, but it's been an incredible adventure.
Business licenses, tax numbers, bookkeeping, inventory control,
setting up dealer accounts, timely parts ordering, keeping customers
happy, doing research, and corresponding with customers all take
time. Then there are the reels to be cleaned. And I have a full-time
day job to boot. Some nights I just have to stop what I'm doing and
go to bed.
Advertising on the Bass Fishing Home Page is one of
the best investments I've made in my business. Well over 95% of my
business has come from that source. Thank you to Gerry and Mark for
creating a great meeting place on the web. I've been privileged
to meet many of the incredibly diverse folks who post on the Bass
Fishing Home Page at the IBBT - Rally@The Rock and the Rally@Texas.
I want to
express my sincere appreciation to all of you have entrusted your
business and your valuable fishing tools to me. That's how I view
fishing reels, as precision tools. Like any good tool, they require
